Based on previous work in our group, we set out to find a method for sampling cerebro-spinal fluid (CSF) in freely moving animals. In the past sampling methods made it difficult to sample CSF in the same subject at the different time-points. Recently we have further developed a method of repeated CSF sampling. This technique allows an even more complete overview of pharmacokinetic distribution of a compound between blood, brain and CSF.
